Her mother is from Scotland and her father is from Boston. They both met in Nova Scotia while attending Nova Scotia College of Art and Design while her mother was on her mobility exchange. When she was seventeen she expressed interest of attending school in Royal, where her mother moved with her so that Eden wouldn't have to buy her own place. Royal is where Eden currently resides, but her mother has moved back to Halifax. Eden is currently twenty-three and attending William B. Academy. She has been there for three years and has been learning Business and Marketing in her studies. While she's been there she has also been trying to get a business license so that she could start her own business. She doesn't know what sort of business she wants to run at this point in time but has decided that having the ability to have a business will be handy to have in the future. Although Eden doesn't reject the idea of having any intimate relations with a woman, she has never actually been sexually attracted to a woman before so she refers to herself as heterosexual until proved otherwise. She is a strong believer that just because two girls kiss doesn't mean that there is anything between the two of them, just like if she were to kiss a guy, it doesn't mean that she is in love with him just means that she kissed him. While she is in school she is currently living in the small house that she and her mother used to live in. Once Eden exposed that she wanted to live on her own, her mother was almost relieved to move back to Halifax. Now, in order to afford her house, she works at the Mermaid Motel on her days off of class. Occasionally she will work the front desk while the woman at the front desk is on break, but the rest of the time she is cleaning rooms and giving out change in the laundry that is attached to the motel. FOUR TATTOOS SHE HAS & A STORY BEHIND THEM: THE SEWING MACHINE | As a little girl, Eden remembered her mother constantly quilting, thus at a sewing machine. If there was any article of clothing that needed some fixing up, her mother would be able to sew it back together as if nothing had happened to it. Every year until Eden was twelve years old, her mother would ask her what she wanted to be for Halloween, and make the costume for her. The tattoo has a banner underneath the sewing machine that says "mum" thus being a direct reference to her mother and the good characteristics of how Eden chooses to remember her. THE TEA CUP | Although she didn't know her grand mother all too closely, there were still the times that she spent over seas when they were on vacation to visit her. Her grand mother lived in Scotland for her entire life, and even died in the house that Eden's mother grew up in. When she was a little girl she remembered her grand mother setting aside time for tea at one o'clock every day. Her house had glass china cabinet that stored dozens of tea cups that her grand mother proudly displayed. Once her grand mother died, Eden received almost thirty tea sets (which she keeps in display in her own glass cabinet). The tea cup on her arm is reminiscent of the cup that she always remembered her grand mother drinking out of. In a way it is a documentation of her grand mother but Eden will often just brush it off and say that she has it because it's cute. THE UMBRELLA | This was her first tattoo... according to her mother. Her mother only signed for it, knowing that it was small, simple, and in the end would be cheap. Her mother considered this a seventeenth birthday present thinking that it would be "hip" and "modern" of her daughter to have a tattoo. It was also something that Eden felt her mother was only doing as some sort of an apology for a recent fight they had in regarding the divorce between her mother and father. For Eden, she reasons the tattoo for saying her father loved the movie "Dancing In The Rain" when Eden herself has never seen it and has never really thought of seeing it either. THE BOW | In reality this was the first tattoo that Eden ever received. She was almost sixteen when she got it, intoxicated, and her friend knew a girl that wouldn't mind giving Eden a tattoo as long as it was small and undocumented. Eden ended up paying her money under the table since legally, the artist couldn't actually tattoo the girl. It's actually one of her favorite tattoos to this day since it is so simple, as well as the fact as it's something that her mother still doesn't know about, not that it would matter now that she has multiples of tattoos. FOUR VIVID MEMORIES SHE HAS: AGE TEN | At the end of the hall she could hear the television in her father's room crackle on. Curious, she walked down, bare footed, feeling the soft carpet between her toes. Once she reach the door way she noticed her father laying in his bed, an arm behind his head, his other hand on the remote, and his eyes glued to the television. Eden looked over to the television, watched the bar pop up that showed the volume was increasing. Without saying a word, Eden walked into the room and climbed up on top of the bed. Her father raised the arm with the remote, offering himself as a pillow for his daughter. As if it was a routine, Eden slipped her head on top of her father's stomach and watched as a middle-aged man continued to describe the seventh most mysterious, unsolved murder in American history. As the brutality of the murder was further developed, Eden clutched on to her fathers shirt, furrowed her eyes, and watched the show as brave as she could. AGE TWELVE | All that filled her vision was the soft whiteness of the sheet. It floated downwards and revealed her mother, who had a hurried expression on her face. The room looked different now. There was no longer a photograph on the left side end table of the bed. The walk in closet door was open and revealed half of the clothes there previously had been. The television that sat in the corner of the room was gone, and the dresser that held it was moved right into the corner parallel from where it used to be. And the air no longer smelt of musk but instead was replaced with the scent of a sugary vanilla. The only thing that remained the same was the half wall of mirrors, which Eden's eyes finally fell to. On top of everything else she wasn't sure if this room had any more personality. She continued to help her mother tuck in a new, white duvet for her bed spread. This room was where it all started, and soon the lost presence of her father would change the rest of the house as well. AGE SEVENTEEN | "Mum, you don't have to do this," she attempted to reason with her. In actuality, she would of preferred if her mother didn't do it at all. "Non-sense!" Her mother chipped at her, an uneasy smile on her face as she pulled herself up to the chair. "This is something fun, something we both can do together! |
AGE TWENTY | She decided it was time to live on her own in that moment, find a place for herself wheres he didn't need her mother jumping down her throat about the decisions she had made. Her mother was still looking at her going on about how she felt like she was wasting her money on her daughter for the two free years she spent at William B. Academy. "Are you even taking anything under a major? Because to me all of you classes seem completely random..." and even thought that would sound like a question Eden knew better than to answer because her mother continued to dive right into the next issue she had with Eden's current education process. Eden did know what she wanted, but her mother wanted something else for her. Eden even wanted something that was well paid, as long as she played her cards right, but her mother wanted something practical and lady like. She believed that with the tattoos that Eden had there was no place for her in the business marketing classes that she was taking. Eden rolled her eyes, not even hearing the words that her mother was saying. Her hand went up, as if an attempt to tell her mother to stop. All Eden could hear as she walked up the stairs to start packing her things was a buzz.

FOUR BAD HABITS THAT SHE HAS:
SMOKING | This particular habit is one she started as soon as she moved out from her mother's at age eighteen. Her mother, grand mother, and multiple people in her life have always smoked so she just picked up the habit from being around too many people. She's tried to quit a few times but if someone offers her a free cigarette it isn't something that she will simply pass up.
CURSING | This is a habit she picked up from her grand father before he died. Eden can curse worse than any sailor in the most odd of situations. Swearing in casual conversations is just something she does without even thinking about it. It's hardly used as an aggressive word for her and when it is aggressive there are times where people have a hard time believing that she is actually angry.
BINGING | This follows under two categories. Some could say that she is bulimic but Eden doesn't do it because of her physical appearance. At a young age she used to make herself vomit so she wouldn't feel full anymore. The reason for this is because she read in a text somewhere that it was something that the Greek used to do. The concept of it interested her, especially since it was the idea of throwing up their previous food so that they could eat more. If she wanted dessert, for instance, she would do this. She is also a bit of a binge drinker. If she has alcohol it's not going to be a casual drink. Drinking alcohol, for her, means that she has to get drunk beyond recognition of her typically shy personality into someone she refers to herself as the "twin."
NAIL BITING | Every time she is nervous, trying to get her mind on something else, or else is simply bored and can't find anything else that she could possibly do, she'll start biting her nails. She's careful with this most of the time when she is out with people that she knows. Instead she'll hide her strange biting obsession by biting her lips instead. But if she is surrounded by people she doesn't know she'll stick to biting her nails. She's constantly clipping them to try to make them all even, and paints them in an attempt to make her stop the habit but the attempt has proved to be completely ineffective.
FOUR THINGS SHE ESPECIALLY LIKES:
KINDER SURPRISES | As a little girl there was one thing that Eden could always be certain of. Every time her father went to the store for groceries, he'd bring home a kinder surprise for his little girl. When she traveled down to the states to visit with some family on her father's side she was disturbed to find out that the United States didn't even allowed Kinder surprises across the border. Now that she is older she will still get one whenever she is at a check out counter. It's one thing that she will go outside of her typically strict diet to indulge.
SOUND OF A BANJO | There are certain sounds or scents that always stimulate a person's senses. For Eden, its a raw sound of the banjo. This, however does have some factors that play into it. For her, there is a difference between the banjo being played well and beautifully in comparison to how people typically partner the banjo with terrible western movies. She used to go to this one small cafe in Boston that had a group of people that would have a "jam" session on certain days of the week. She'd only stop by to listen to the banjo because she was so impressed as to how it was used to create music.
MURDER MYSTERIES | This particular fascination of her's goes back to her memories with her father. Watching the old mystery television channel got her a little too fascinated with murderers, mental health issues, and felons. She researched multiple of them, often watches television series like Criminal Minds or Dexter in order to fill a void with fictional serial murderers.
NUDITY | There is something fresh about being in the nude for her. Having clothes on feels restricting and unnatural. When she's walking around her house she will be stripped down to the bar essentials and generally will only put on clothing if she knows she'll be leaving the house or if she is expecting to see someone that day, regardless of if she is going out to see them or if they are going to show up at her house. If there is something she is never ashamed of, it's her body and she is also known for putting on a bit of a show when she has enough alcohol in her. This hasn't given her the greatest reputation around the different school campuses.
